Scientific session of the conference was initiated with online keynote lecture of Prof. Gaurav Gupta, President, APP Gulf International Branch & Adjunct Research Professor, Centre of Medical and Bio-allied Health Sciences Research, Ajman University, Ajman, United Arab Emirates who addressed the gathering on the topic “AI Innovations in Drug Discovery: A Faster Route from Lab Bench to Patient Bedside”. Other two lectures were delivered by Prof. K. Karthickeyan, Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vels deemed to be University (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Dr. Sagar Kumar Mishra, Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on topics like ‘Advancement in Clinical Pharmacy Practice’ and ‘Scientific Evaluation of Ethnomedicinal Plants: Perspectives for Effective Therapeutic Agents’. During the valedictory function, Prof. K. Kathickeyan, Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, VISTAS, Palavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu honored with ‘APP Fellow Membership Award 2024’ by Prof. J. N. Suresh Kumar, Secretary, APP Andhra Pradesh State Branch. Also appreciation awards were extended to chairman and principal of hosting college. In addition, Dr. Sk. Farhan Subahan, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, NIPS, conferred with ‘Best Teacher Award’; Dr. Sk. Mulla Mobin, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, NIPS, felicitated with ‘Best Talent Award’; Dr. A. Swetha Prathima, Assistant Professor, NIPS, honored with ‘Best Performer Award’; Dr. K. Venkata Gopaiah, Associate Professor, NIPS, conferred with ‘Best Achiever Award’; Mr. Deselli Mohan and Ms. Bathula Manasa, B.Pharm (Year 4) Students, NIPS, with ‘Best Student Awards’; Mr. Jagupilla Pavan Kumar and Ms. Pendela P V K N Sai Rama Pujitha, Pharm.D (Year VI) Students, NIPS, with ‘Best Student Awards’. Various posters were presented during scientific session of this Indo-Gulf International Conference and best poster prizes were distributed. Scientific session of the conference was initiated with keynote lecture of Prof. Gaurav Gupta, President, APP Gulf International Branch & Adjunct Research Professor, Centre of Medical and Bio-allied Health Sciences Research, Ajman University, Ajman, United Arab Emirates who addressed the gathering on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and the Pharmaceutical Sector: Opportunities for Growth and Innovation”. Other two lectures were delivered by Prof. Archana Mehrotra, Principal, Invertis Institute of Pharmacy, Invertis University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and Prof. Piyush Mittal, Head, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Pharmacy Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on topics like ‘Utilization of AI Techniques and Digitalization in Nanotechnology’ and ‘Effective Prescription Screening for Good Dispensing Practice’. The scientific sessions were chaired by Prof. Mamta Dhingra, HOD, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bihar College of Pharmacy, Patna, Bihar and Prof. Shailendra Kumar, Ex-Principal, Govt. Pharmacy Institute, Patna, Bihar.
During the valedictory function, Prof. Archana Mehrotra, Principal, Invertis Institute of Pharmacy, Invertis University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh honored with ‘APP Fellow Membership Award 2024’ by President, APP Uttar Pradesh State Branch and President, APP Gulf International Branch. Also appreciation awards were extended to chairman and principal of hosting college. Various posters/orations were presented during scientific session of this Indo-Gulf International Conference and best poster/oration prizes were distributed. At last, the scientific event ended with ‘Vote of thanks’ by Prof. Shivli Nomani, Convener & Principal, S.N.S. College of Pharmacy, Motihari, East Champaran, Bihar.
