Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) Tamilnadu State Branch organized 1st Indo-Jordan Conference on “Global Trends in Drug Design, Discovery and Pharmaceutical Sciences” at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vels deemed to be University (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamilnadu on Jul 23, 2019, in collaboration with APP Brazilian International Branch.
During this APP-VISTAS collaborative conference, Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Chancellor, VISTAS, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamilnadu acted as ‘Chief Patron’; Prof. A. Jothi Murugan and Dr. A. R. Veeramani, Pro-Chancellor and Registrar, VISTAS, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamilnadu as ‘Patrons’; Dr. P. Shanmugasundaram, Director, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, VISTAS, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamilnadu as ‘Convener’; Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago as ‘Organizing Chairman’; Prof. Terezinha de Jesus Andreoli Pinto from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil as ‘Scientific Committee Chairman’ and Dr. Sunita Dahiya from School of Pharmacy, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR, USA as ‘Scientific Committee Co-Chairman’. Scientific sessions of the conference were enriched with lectures of Dr. Pran Kishore Deb, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Philadelphia University, Jordan and Prof. V. Gopal, Principal, College of Pharmacy, Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences (A Govt. of Puducherry Institution), Puducherry who addressed the professional gathering on diverse topics of pharmaceutical interest.

During this APP-MRPC collaborative conference, Sri Ch. Malla Reddy, Chairman, Malla Reddy Pharmacy College, Maisammaguda, Secunderabad, Telangana acted as ‘Chief Patron’; Prof. G. Tulja Rani, Principal, Malla Reddy Pharmacy College, Maisammaguda, Secunderabad, Telangana as ‘Convener’; Dr. Sunita Dahiya, General Secretary APP from School of Pharmacy, University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, San Juan, PR, USA as ‘Organizing Chairman’; Dr. Terezinha De Jesus Andreoli Pinto, President, APP Brazilian International Branch and Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil as ‘Co-convener’; Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies as ‘Scientific Committee Chairman’ and Prof. A. Muralidhar Rao, President APP Telangana State Branch and Principal, St. Mary’s College of Pharmacy, Secunderabad, Telangana as ‘Scientific Committee Co-Chairman’.
