Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) Malaysian International Branch and APP Tamilnadu State Branch organized 1st Indo-Malaysian Conference on “Global Scenario and Challenges in Pharmaceutical Sciences & NanoTechnology” at Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Maisammaguda, Dhulapally, Secunderabad, Telangana on 10th September 2018, in collaboration with APP Ethiopian International Branch.
The scientific event was witnessed by Sri Ch. Malla Reddy, Honourable Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Malkajgiri Constituency, Telangana and Chairman, Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Maisammaguda as ‘Chief Patron’; Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Founder President APP and Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago as ‘Organizing Chairman’; Prof. M. Sudhakar, Principal, Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Maisammaguda as ‘Convener’; Dr. K. Jaya Raja Kumar, President, APP Malaysian International Branch from Faculty of Pharmacy, AIMST University, Bedong, Semeling, Kedha, Malaysia and Prof. P. Scientific session was initiated with lecture of Dr. Anil Tumkur Mruthyunjaya from Department of Pharmacy Practice, International Medical University, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia who addressed the gathering on ‘Patient reported outcome measurements‘. Other lectures were deilvered by Dr. Palanisamy Selvamani, Secretary, APP Tamilnadu State Branch from Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Anna University, BITS Campus, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu and Dr. Suresh V. Chennupati, Vice President, APP Ethiopian International Branch from Department of Pharmacy, College of Medical & Health Sciences, Wollega University, Nekemte, Ethiopia. All the resource persons of the conference were felicitated with ‘Certificates of Appreciation’ after their lectures by the convener. During the valedictory function, Prof. M. Sudhakar, Principal, Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Maisammaguda was conferred with ‘APP Appreciation Award’ by Vice President, APP Ethiopian International Branch and Secretary, APP Tamilnadu State Branch. INDO-MALAYSIAN CONFERENCE

Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) Malaysian International Branch organized 2nd Indo Malaysian Conference on “Recent Trends and Challenges in Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research” at RBVRR Womens College of Pharmacy, Barkathpura, Hyderabad, Telangana on 6th October 2018, in collaboration with APP Karnataka State Branch.
During this APP-RBVRR collaborative conference, Dr. K. Jaya Raja Kumar, President, APP Malaysian International Branch from Faculty of Pharmacy, AIMST University, Bedong, Semeling, Kedha, Malaysia acted as ‘Convener‘; Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago as ‘Organizing Chairman’; Prof. Sumakanth M, Principal, RBVRR Womens College of Pharmacy, Barkathpura, Hyderabad as ‘Organizing Secretary‘; Dr. Sunita Dahiya, General Secretary APP from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR, USA as ‘Scientific Committee Chairman’ and Prof. A. Scientific Session was enriched with lectures of Dr. Vetriselvan Subramaniyan, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, MAHSA University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Prof. Kuntal Das, President, APP Karnataka State Branch from Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, Karnataka and Dr. S. Ravinder, General Manager, Axis Clinical Trials, Hyderabad, Telangana. Programme ended with felicitation of Prof. Sumakanth M, Principal, RBVRR Womens College of Pharmacy, Barkathpura, Hyderabad with ‘APP Appreciation Award’ and honoring three best poster awardees with certificates and medals.

Scientific session was initiated with lecture of Dr. Neeraj Kumar Fuloria, Joint Secretary, APP Malaysian International Branch and Senior Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, AIMST University, Semeling, Bedong, Kedah, Malaysia, who addressed the gathering on ‘Response of Newer Oxadiazole based Xylenol derivatives against Periodontitis triggering Microbiota‘. Scientific session was continued with lecture of Dr. Natarajan Jawahar, Joint Secretary, APP Tamilnadu State Branch from JSS College of Pharmacy, Rocklands, Ooty, Tamilnadu, on the topic ‘Solid Lipids Nanoparticles (SLN): A Promising Carrier for Drug Delivery and Targeting‘. Session was ended with lecture of Prof. Abdul Rahaman, Principal, Nirmala College of Pharmacy, Mangalagiri, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery and Development’.
Conference was attended and participated by more than 300 delegates, including Dr. Ravi Shankar from Vignan Pharmacy College, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. During the valedictory function, Sri Mittapalli Ramesh, Director, Narasaraopeta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Yellamanda, Narasaraopeta, was conferred with ‘Appreciation Award‘. Chennupati, National Head, APP AnalChem Division from Nalanada College of Pharmacy, Nalgonda, Telangana in face to face mode which was followed by ‘virtual opening remarks’ from Dr. Vetriselvan Subramaniyan, Vice President, APP Malaysian International Branch and Deputy Dean (Undergraduate), Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience and Nursing, MAHSA University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Scientific session I of the conference was initiated with virtual lecture by Dr. Krupavaram B, Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy, KPJ Healthcare University College, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia on the topic ‘Handling on laboratory rodents – Care and use’. This session was chaired by Prof. Somnath De (Department of Pharmacology, St. Pauls College of Pharmacy, Turkayamjal, Telangana) and Dr. Gaurav Gupta (Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, Rajasthan). Scientific session II of the conference was enriched with face to face lectures of speakers from National Universities like Dr. Ronald Darwin C, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vels Deemed to be University (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Dr. Rohini Pilli, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, who addressed the professional gathering on ‘Toxicological investigation in laboratory animals: Past, present and future’ and ‘Advances in drug delivery systems’ respectively.
