Association of Pharmacy Professionals Malaysian International Branch organized 13th Indo-Malaysian Conference on “Issues and Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology” at College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS), Puri, Odisha on Nov 11, 2019, in collaboration with APP Odisha State Branch with Prof. Bhakti Bhusan Barik, Academic Director, CPS, Puri, Odisha as ‘President’; Prof. Santosh Kumar Mahapatra, Dean of Pharmacy, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela and Principal, Gayatri College of Pharmacy, Sambalpur, Odisha as ‘Vice President’ and Prof. Amiya Kanta Mishra, Principal, CPS, Puri, Odisha as ‘Secretary’.
During this APP-CPS collaborative conference, Mrs. Anima Dash, Chairperson, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS), Puri, Odisha acted as ‘Patron’; Dr. Sunita Dahiya, General Secretary APP from School of Pharmacy, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR, USA as ‘Organizing Chairman‘; Prof. Bhakti Bhusan Barik, Academic Director, CPS, Puri, Odisha as ‘Convener’; Prof. Amiya Kanta Mishra, Principal, CPS, Puri, Odisha as ‘Organizing Secretary’; Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Founder President APP and Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago as ‘Scientific Committee Chairman’ and Dr. Suresh V. Chennupati, President APP Ethiopian International Branch from Department of Pharmacy, College of Medical and Health Sciences, Wollega University, Nekemte, Ethiopia as ‘Scientific Committee Co-Chairman’. During the event, Dr. Nagashekhara Molugulu from School of Pharmacy, Monash University, Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Petaling, Selangor, Malaysia and Dr. K. Purna Nagasree, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Vignan Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh addressed the professional gathering on issues related to pharmaceutical sciences and technology.
During the valedictory function, Prof. Santosh Kumar Mahapatra, Dean (Pharmacy), Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha was conferred with ‘Distinguished Teacher Award’; Dr. Manoj Kumar Dash, Chairman, Dadhichi Group of Institutions, Odisha and Secretary, Odisha Pharmacy College Association, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha with ‘Best Performer Award’; Prof. Rajat Kumar Kar, Principal, Dadhichi College of Pharmacy, Sundargram, Cuttack, Odisha with ‘Best Pharmacist Award’; Prof. Susanta Kumar Panada, Principal, Royal College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Berhampur, Orissa with ‘Best Achiever Award’; Mr. Amaresh Prusty, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, CPS, Puri, Odisha with ‘Best Research Scholar Award’; Dr. Sunit Kumar Sahoo, Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha with ‘Best Researcher Award’; Dr. Madhusmruti Khandai, Associate Professor, Royal College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Gosani Nuagam, Brahmapur, Odisha with ‘Best Talent Award’ and Mr. Dibya Ranjan Muduli, D.Pharm Student, CPS, Puri; Mr. Kshetramohan Samantaray,  B.Pharm Student, CPS, Puri; Sri Sangram Sarathi Sahoo, M.Pharm Student, CPS, Puri, Odisha with ‘Best Student Awards’.
The conference was concluded with honoring Dr. Nagashekhara Molugulu from Monash University, Malaysia with ‘Young Talent Award 2019’ and Dr. K. Purna Nagasree, from Vignan Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh with ‘Young Achiever Award 2019’.

Association of Pharmacy Professionals Odisha State organized 5th Indo-Caribbean Conference on “Modern Trends and Global Challenges in Pharmaceutical Sciences” at VJ’s College of Pharmacy, Rajahmundry, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh on Dec 29, 2021, in collaboration with APP West Indies International Branch and APP Analytical Chemistry Division. During this APP-VJCP collaborative conference, Dr. Nallamilli. V. V. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Secretary & Correspondent, VJ’s College of Pharmacy, Rajahmundry acted as ‘Patron’; Dr. Sunita Dahiya, General Secretary APP from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR, USA as ‘Organizing Chairman‘; Prof. Battu Ganga Rao, Former Registrar, Adikavi Nannayya University, Rajahmundry and Former Principal, A.U. During the event, virtual lecture was delivered by Prof. Susan Julia Chand, Director, Department of Research and Innovation, University of the Southern Caribbean, St. Joseph, Trinidad & Tobago and offline lectures were delivered by Prof. K. Karthickeyan, Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vels Deemed to be University (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamilnadu and Dr. Gananadhamu Samanthula, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Balanagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, who addressed the professional gathering on diverse aspects related to pharmaceutical sciences including ‘Ethnomedicine and Its Medicinal Significance in the Caribbean, Pharmacy Clinic – An Unrevealed Role of Clinical Pharmacist’s in India‘ and ‘Forced Degradation Studies for Identification of Impurities in Pharmaceuticals‘. Virtual lecture session was chaired by Prof. Santosh Kumar Mahapatra, Dean (Pharmacy), Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha; Prof. Bhakti Bhusan Barik, HOD, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Brainware University, Kolkata, West Bengal and offline lecture sessions were chaired by Prof. K. Srinivas, Principal, Sri Vasavi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh and Prof. Suresh V. Chennupati, HOD, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Nalanda College of Pharmacy, Charlapally, Nalgonda,  Telangana.
Founder President APP, Dr. Rajiv Dahiya, Director, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies, announced the names of Prof. Amiya Kanta Mishra, Principal, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri, Odisha as new ‘President’ of APP Odisha State Branch and Dr. Sunit Kumar Sahu, Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha as new ‘Secretary’ of APP Odisha State Branch. Also, names of Dr. Ramana Hechhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences and Medicine, Wolaita Sodo University, Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia;  Dr. K. Bala Ram Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Haramaya University, Ethiopia and Dr. S.P. Preethi Priyadharshni, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Haramaya University, Ethiopia were announced as new ‘President‘, ‘Joint Secretary‘ and ‘Executive Member‘ of APP Ethiopian International Branch. Dr. Gananadhamu Samanthula, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Balanagar, Hyderabad, Telangana was nominated as new ‘National Coordinator‘ of APP AnalChem Division. Moreover, three outstanding students of outer states viz. Mr. Akhilesh Tiwari, B.Pharm (2nd Year) Student, Shri Sai College of Pharmacy, Upardaha, Handia, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh; Ms. K. Charulatha, B.Tech (3rd Year) Student, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, University College of Engineering, Anna University, BIT Campus, Trichy, Tamilnadu and Mr. Sauraj Verma, B.Pharm (3rd Year) Student, U.S. Ostwal Institute of Pharmacy, Mangalwad, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan were honored with ‘Best Student Awards‘ for their vital academic performance. This session concluded with announcement of Dr. Yogesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, GLA University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh for ‘Young Talent Award 2021‘ for his outstanding academic/research output in the national category.
